Grief & Loss

We hold them in our hearts...

Losing a loved one

We are always here for you, during and after the funeral. Coping with death is one of life’s most difficult challenges. You can experience many different feelings and emotions as you adjust to life without your special person. There is no right or wrong way to grieve - it’s important to be gentle on yourself and give yourself time, in some instances it's years before you find peace within your heart again. A lot of the time we just learn how to deal with the pain and as time goes by we slowly heal. Some people may wish to turn to a professional to find the support and assistance they need.

You may find the below therapeutic during your journey of loss and grieving:

  • Keeping some of your persons special items for sentimental keepsake
  • Cooking, eating/drinking the food/drinks that were special to your person
  • Going back to nature as this heals (beach or bush walks)
  • Looking back at photos or videos of your special person
  • Talking to others who have been on the same journey
  • Having a journal and recording special memories or feelings
  • Going to places that your special person enjoyed or doing things they loved
  • Keeping in contact with their friends as they help keep their stories alive
  • Light a candle, pick flowers or release natives into water as a ritual
