Not everyone wants a fully structured funeral service. Our Private Gathering Goodbye offers a warm, intimate space for family and friends to spend time together in the presence of the deceased. This unstructured farewell allows you to share memories and support one another in a relaxed and comfortable setting.
This gathering can be held in our smaller chapel inside Westella House, outdoors in our gazebo, or in our larger Westella Chapel. With a maximum capacity of 50 guests, the atmosphere remains personal and informal—ideal for those who prefer simplicity without ceremony.
The Private Gathering Goodbye offers a meaningful way to honour your loved one in a calm, unstructured setting. It’s a space to remember, support one another, and say goodbye in your own way.
What’s Included
- Transport of the deceased into our care (during business hours)
- Cremation fee
- Cremation permit (by doctor)
- All essential paperwork
- Cardboard coffin
- Gentle mortuary care (washing, dressing, hair and makeup)
- Viewing prior to the gathering
- Two hours at Westella
- Catering and refreshments for up to 50 guests (tea/coffee provisions)
